Alpacas have been a main source of nutrition all around the world, starting in South America, and now world-wide. It is very healthy and a nice alternative to beef. Alpaca is very tender and lean, tasting very similar to beef.

Meat consumers do not even notice a difference. What they do see however, is that they are eating a healthier option compared to beef.  It is lower in calories, fat, and cholesterol, and has high protein content. Ground Alpaca can be substituted for ground beef, turkey, or chicken in any recipe.
